There seems to be an increasing interest in the 300 series, mainly I think due to 300Buck's great photo's and "article/tutorials" about them. Not to mention that they are just great looking and using knives.

So let's all show off some of ours. Users, safe queens, whatever.

I'll start with these. One or other of them goes with me everyday. Usually, it's one of the 301's but occasionally I will carry a 307. It's a nice one too, but it just carries a little "large" to suit my pockets.

Here's a few of mine that I guess I consider safe queens. They aren't anything real special, but I just don't want them getting all dinged up by the keys or change in my pockets.

Thank you.

Middle one in the top picture is the Charcoal Dymondwood 301. The newer version now has the rounded "ComfortCraft" bolsters like the yellow handled one.

Second row, left in the bottom picture is a little 303 with "Pumpkin seed" handles. I don't know for sure who did the handles, probably J. Kidd/Wildhorse, but I'm sure it didn't come that way from Buck.

I also have the yellow, but it stays at work...yellow is so non-threatening.

Dave: Great Post. You have knives I didn't realize you were interested in buying. So, the model with the leaf or feather in what looks like a Beryl handle caught my eye. Who did that great re-handle job? I have a suspicion!!!

Thanks Rusty. That knifes a Buck factory Limited Edition. I don't know who it was made for but the born on date is 05/22/2008. the model number is 0303IQSBT-B. I should go back and look at the Special Projects list and see if I can find it.

Yeah, you wouldn't believe all the types of Bucks I've gotten interested in. Pretty much all the more traditional ones and some of the more modern patterns.

I don't have many 300's. But, thanks to Dave I have 100% more than before;)

Dave,
I will post a couple in a minute, I have to pick......... I also like that orange whirl scale.
Don't care for a lot of those aftermarket scales.

Rusty, the feather is a Bob Timberlake from a few years ago. Offered in 303.

Craig: Ok, I guessed wrong. Such is life. Not the first time I have ambled away with the wrong idea. As always, you're the master on such things involving the 300 series.

Yep, and the wood is ironwood. And although it is a Timberlake edition, I strongly suspect that Wild Bill Cody may have had a hand in it's production.

My favorites are always stag. Both regular and elk. Good elk over time sorta gets a tan/green hue.....These 301s are stag on left and elk on right, if you couldn't tell......
The left has SS scale rivets, and is from the 74 - 85 era, double brass liner on reverse side. The right is from 1988 Buck shield era,425M steel, double brass liners also. I have to be critical at this point and say Buck should somehow do a better job of matching scales on the standard production stag models and even the dark dymondwood. A bunch are just not 'showing-to-others' worthy. 300

For the slighty more modern era, here is the rarest 314 of a Buck production model, not the special orders by groups and business.
314 Trapper, Ebony scales, X 1990 date. Number 012 out of LE of 250. Number etched on reverse of clip blade. The 312 Trapper was produced in the same manner.

You did say users.
This was actually one of my grandfathers users.
Any recomendations on getting the oxidization out of the groove with out making them worse?

I'm not positive this is it, but I was given a small black knife like this when I was in the 2nd or 3rd grade. I wound up taking it to school one day because I had forgot it in my pocket. I remember being scared to death it was going to get taken away.
Sometime during the day I looked out the window and saw my dad's truck in front of the school, apperantly he had a teacher conference (I wasn't the most well behaved in the class:D). So I went out and hid it under the tool box, so he wouldn't know and I wouldn't get caught at school with it. Well I didn't remember to get it till a few days later I suppose and it was gone. Dad and Grampa worked together as builders at the time so I'm not sure he didn't refind it as he was the one who gave it to me I believe, but who knows.

Here you go Longbow, a hard to find odd-ball, a 303 transition that only got a blade. Likely they were using up some extra blades. People didn't know they were getting a rare knife. The transitions came in 301 flavor also.

Here was a short lived SMKWs special issue, honoring Bucks fifth year in Idaho. Did anyone pick one up ? Only 250 made. This shade is my favorite color Dymondwood.
