One more post, for the heck of it....actually lets have a session of Buck 300 school.
Here is a photo of a group of knives that have more history than you might imagine. All were made by Camillus for Buck, even up into the 2000's before the factory closed, most of those were made for SMKWs limited numbers sale. SMKWs has a long history with Buck Knives and frequently ordered special editions for their own exclusive sale. There are more than whats in the picture but here goes: L to R. a hard to find yellow 322 Congress, SMKWs - note it only is stamped Buck with no date code. All Camillus produced Bucks are that way, some don't even have model numbers stamped; next is a 329 Trapper with a non-dated traditional tang stamp, also made in edition with American Flag printed on scale, blade printing, spcecial box and belt buckle, SMKWs; the ole 307 large stockman named the Wrangler, no date code, made only by Camillus even near factory closing, at the end mainly sold thru various knife outlets along with SMKSs, offered as exclusive by SMKW with special blade stampings. Rumor has it that someone bought all the 307 parts and partial assemblies and has been putting them together for current sale; 334 Large Trapper, created for year 2000 event sales, made by Camillus for SMKWs came with special case, made in two versions, brown bone and smooth black. Overruns in production were later sold and lack blade printing and scale emblems, Camillus assembled some at the end and sold them during factory sale; 333 California Toothpick, again a SMKWs offer, Buck name, Camillus made, two versions- Brown bone and Staglon, you will find some overruns without blade printing; 331 Large Barlow, made by Camillus for SMKWs, two versions black sawcut and yellow sawcut; 332 Barlow, same as its big brother and at the bottom and last is a 317 Trailblazer, two blade large folder, SMKWs had special blade stampings and etches made for their sale, yep Camillus made.
