Awesome shots Ian! Beautiful bush out there at no mistake. Your mates look like a bunch of hard baaastads though! Definitely the type of guys I would want to hog hunt with. What breed of dog is on top of the 4-wheeler in the top picture? She's a beaut.

those hog hunting pics are awesome! and i did not know there was a wild hog population in Australia. and speaking of Australia that's some gorgeous country i'd love to go there some day!

It's a Pit Bull X great Dane. A lot of them these days are a similar mix, Stag Hound and Bull Mastiff are a popular mix these days. I always liked Australian Cattle Dog and Bull terrier cross. The bigger dogs always seem to have to crouch over the pig to me.

Here's a pic of the best I've ever owned. he was Cattle Dog X Bull Terrier sire and dam was Doberman Rotweiler. He was a hundred pounds of dynamite in the bush. Pigs or scrub Bulls.

15 years old here, not too many survive to that age unless they're good.

The HRLM on road kill. :D
Waste not want not, I knocked about thirty or forty pounds of quality dog meat of this fella, he'd hit over night just down the road from my place, probably by a truck.

You can see where a fox or something has been dining on his leg, after I boned off what I wanted I chucked him back into the bush out of the traffic for whatever was feeding on him to finish him off. :D

A well used Crash Axe that always accompanies me into the bush, lives in my truck and has a thousand uses. :D

Crikey, Ian - top photos, mate ! At least someone took care of a few feral pigs ! ;)
This thread rocks !! :)

Ian
Great pics! And looks like the thread is all yours!:D No one has as many or as good pics as you.
There is a few of us Down Under and looks like you could show us how to use them Rats... :D

For all of those who have used the RMD or RMD LE for skinning and gutting: How does it do? Thinking about bringing t with me deer/boar hunting.

Do I really need to beat the hell out of my Ratweiler to bump this thread to the top? Who else USES their Swamp Rats?!

Not much for an action shot but I was using it at the time I took the picture:

AZWelke kydex. What I love about his sheaths is the retention is on the handle and not on the blade. No scratching up the blade finish from the grit in the sheath.

Ian, I am going to have to make it to the outback sometime. That looks like a lot of fun.
