L6, I'll have to raid the piggy bank (aka the couch)to see what I can come up with but we've got to do better than this.

Was reminded by the news tonight that Mon. is a holiday. Postal service will probably be delayed due to this.

My son saw this post (he's 14) and thought we should forego something else in order to participate. When I was married, we were always a philanthropic family, and I think he misses that. He understands that while we are down as far as we've ever been, there must be someone having even more trouble.

It amounts to nearly nothing, but we're sending a little paypal anyway. I get paid this week, the money will be in by the deadline.
 
Wow Forumites, the last two days have doubled the funds, thanks big time!!!! I still have a couple ideas of who or where to donate the money to. I'll let you know where it goes as soon as I can.
Danelle, I know your situation and the streak of bad things you've gone thru recently. It's folks like you that dig down deep when theres not much to share that keeps my faith in people high. God Bless!
 
Wow, up to $162 forumites!!! Ya still have a couple hours to get some tickets!

I didn't think about telling you how I do the drawing so here goes. I assign a number to everyone that donates for tickets. Then I print thier number as many times as the number of tickets they get. I throw all the numbers in a bag and shake em up real good and pull out the winning number. I feel using numbers makes it as annonymous as possible. Thanks for participating in this raffle folks!!! $162 might not be much by today's standards but I know it will be a blessing to the family thats gonna receive it!
