Lets hear about your most recent SlipJoint

My latest slipjoint is a Moore Maker 5200 Trapper. A very nice knife. It did not come all that sharp though and needed quite a bit of work to get a good edge on both blades.

I have heard that Blue Grass make most of the Moore Maker knives, but have also heard that Queen make most of the Blue Grass knives.

My latest is a Case 6249 Copperhead with brown bone, 1983 manufacture, for $43 at a local pawn shop in VG+ condition.

Yeah, nifrand has a Bailey Bradshaw that he got from me, great knives from a great maker.

My favorite pattern is the "gunstock". Nifrand also turned me onto Bill Simons, another great maker of slipjoints, etc.

I got one from him with D2 blades and jigged bone handles. Awesome knife! So I ordered another one from him and sent him a nice piece of ironwood for the handles. Just got it last week and it is nicer than the first! Fileworked backsprings and fit and finish are superb.

So.......... I ordered another one and sent him a nice piece of koa for the handles:)

The jigged bone knife has a spearpoint blade for the main blade, the ironwood a clip and the koa will have a wharncliffe.

Great knives at a great price!
