I have one nearly exactly the same as the one in the OP that I received in a giveaway here. Beautiful knife. :)

Thanks guys, I'll be making a sheath for her in a few weeks, heading to Madrid
tomorrow for a couple weeks and then to Clearwater for a week, all work, no play :(
But, I'll take the risk and bring this knife along for the ride, squirreled away in my luggage,
wish me luck!

I have one made in 74 as well! I have been wanting to tote it around, but figure I have enough newer knives, so I don't need to use an old classic. Good lookin' knife, you got a real treasure!!!!

Thanks guys, well, sitting in the airport, I'm chancing it anyways, she's
packed safely in my luggage and fingers and toes are all crossed hoping
she's there on arrival !!
Boarding in a few minutes, catch you guys/gals on the flip side,

While this knife has a very slight gap/notch before the edge starts,
it still is something that will catch material as you go to cut.
Which I had saw while using it to slice plastic wrap that we were
wrapping the machines we were crating up. My friend held the plastic
as I went to slice it and the notch would catch and hang up :(
which he thought the knife wasn't sharp, but it of course is RAZOR sharp :)

Here's a closeup of the area

I took a small file and ceramic stones and knocked down the abrupt corner so it
won't hang up now :)

the smaller blade has less of a notch but will also receive this treatment as well.

Here in Madrid this is fast becoming my favourite knife :)
I think this size feels right, not too small and not too large, a Goldilocks size ;)

Closed length is 3 3/4"
about 5/8" thick at the spine

both blades are flush in all three positions too

Main Blade is 3"
Pen Blade is 2 1/4"

Both blades attain an extremely sharp edge, plus being
thinly ground, truly cut fast and deep!

The folks here in Madrid are amazed at how sharp it is, I've been giving some
sharpening lessons while here as well.

I do need to get a sheath made for it when I get home,
It'll make it easier to get to the knife.

Happy camper here!

Finally got a chance to make a sheath for this one,
I knew with the contour of the main blade, it would
work very well to be retained in a sheath and it does ;)

Heading to Clearwater FL for the week for work, will be bringing this folder
along for the ride :)

That pattern is actually one of my 3 2-blade favorites. Sadly I don't have any of those three. That is one that I want to get very badly. Gorgeous knife there.

I actually struggled to not buy one of the two I found at an antique store yesterday, because both were more modern stampings (don't remember the year) and both were ss, for $65 each. Had either been CV, I'd be posting a pic right now. And yet, seeing this thread makes me want to go back...

Thanks guys, I do RECOMMEND this folder for sure, for me, I like the size
only pic might be a pointyier (is that a real word? :) ) small pen blade but
both are ground nice and thin and cut like little lasers!
The pen has just a slight amount of side to side play, while the main blade is
rock solid with no play whatsoever.

The images were just quickly taken before leaving for the airport this morning
so pardon the quality but you can see the texture of the grain, love the leather
from Wickett & Craig, very good stuff. And it does take a while to MAKE the leather
form around the end of the sheath, a lot of consistent hard pressure to keep working
the leather down and around the end.

You can see the last couple of stitches where I back stitch a few to anchor the thread
in place, it doesn't go anywhere! plus being glued down too helps :)

At the airport in Elmira right now waiting on my flight south...fingers crossed hoping no volcanoes impede my journey!

edited to add, I chose that embossing as it closely resembles a capital C...for Case ;)

I actually edc'ed the 31's little brother today, a 6235 1/2 which is the same basic pattern but 1/2 inch shorter...

I used to have one of these, but included it in a trade several years ago. It was a very stout and good-feeling knife. Hope to find another one someday. Gary, the jigging on that one you have is just awesome.

They are all nice. Makes me want one too. Rick, the brown, tan, and olive tones on yours is really pretty. They did a nice job with that one.
