Yes another post regarding EDC'ing YAAYY:D :D

But lets give it sort of a new twist shall we.

Lets list the EDC stuff and give the reason why we are carrying THIS piece

I'll start out.

Vic Farmer: I carry this because I want more then just a knife blade. I like to have the other tools available, and don't want to carry a full multitool (To heavy for EDC) I went with the Alox because they don't break when you drop it on the floor.

Vic Rambler: ( On my key chain) I like to have scissors and the small Phillips on it.

Small LED (No brand  ): I EDC this for the winter when its dark most of the time, and in the summer it stays on the key chain so I don't misplace it.

And a watch to tell the time.:p

That's it, how about you ?

and some other stuff

Any one of a dozen benchmades
A superknife razor folder
E2E or A2 surefire
cell phone in watch pocket
Sog Multilpier in the truck
enough tools at home
and work for everything else

At work I carry a wallet, 1 Watt LED flashlight (no-name but very bright and indestructable), my Kershaw Leek (small, cuts well, etc.) and my keys for my van. At home I carry everything except the flashlight and the Leek. Instead I carry a MiniCylone for a knife and no flashlight.

Good thread idea. Here's my long response.

On my belt: Buck 102 cocobola for opening packages and general cutting chores and as a last ditch weapon.

If not my Buck, than a Vic Farmer for the tool selection. It has everything i want and nothing i don't need.

I use the can opener to open cans of diced tomatoes when i make pasta.
I use the knife blade for general cutting chores and food prep (after washing it, of course). I use the awl when i sew leather since it is alot easyer on my hands to poke holes first, then sew. I also use the awl to rip out stitches when i screw up... i use the saw for light bushcraft and other such things. I drink alot of beer so bottle openers are my friends. The screwdriver tips usually pry staples rather than screwdrive. Alox is also much nicer than plastic. I use a chain lanyard to keep it from sliding out of my pocket.

On my keychain: Keys to my house/desk drawer etc. WW2 era P38 can opener that belonged to a freind of the family (sentimental thing mostly) a steel whistle that belonged to my grandmother (sentimental thing too, and to piss off the cat next week). A steel clip to hold it all together.

Maybe a mini Maglite for lighting up the dark times or as a kubotan. I added rubber O rings to the body of it to add grip.

Bandana, folded and sewn to create a kind of wallet with a zipper. I carry cash/cards and loose change inside. It also will be used for sweaty summers.

Cigarettes to slowly commit suicide and a lighter to aid in said suicide.

I should quit smoking, i enjoy breathing...

I have a Leather pouch that my wife made in my right front pocket containing my ID card, bank card, and a thin plastic calender card along with a Leatherman Blast and a Fisher Bullet space pen. The Leatherman cover 99.995% of my daily needs and the Fisher Space Pen handles the other .005%.
On my keychain I have a dogtag, two house keys, a red microlight and a white microlight. I also have a inkless pen on there from EDCForums and a pillfob with to Valium and three Aleve alnog with some cotton balls stuffed in there. The red microlight is for when I come home at night and need to go through the house while everyone is sleeping without waking them up. The white one is for everything else.
In my right rear pocket I have a SOG Twitch II knife for easy access. I wear a jacket no matter how hot it is outside so I do carry an Altoids PSK and a Streamlight TwinTask light in one of the pockets. Right now my PSK is designed for Wilderness survival and I may change it to more of an Urban kit. That is all for now. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves while I am gone.

Today (4/15/07), I am EDCing:1. Matt C. Mini Scrapper "Gecko"-it doesn't interfere with drawing my Seecamp. 2. In my watch pocket I have my CR 2 Ion light & Atwood 3 inch Wedgie. I am EDCing these because they are useful. The CR 2 Ion has 2 stages of light, and the high stage is very bright. I ALWAYS have a flashlight on me. This one is small and bright, so I am always carrying it. The 3 inch Atwood Wedgie is carried, because it is infinately useful!! 3. When I got out later, I will have my Seecamp in it's Hedley holster. In my jacket that I will be wearing is a SF E1e, and spare battery. As well as an Atwood Bug Out Bar. The Bug Out Bar is very, very useful!!

I rotate between a cqc-12, 806, ti atr, sng, and mini socom elite as my main carry knife. I carry one of those because I can use them to do any thing a folding knife can do. However they can be considered overkill for alot of cutting related tasks so I like to carry one of several smaller knives in combination to a larger one. I have a few swiss army knives (don't even know the names), and on my keys I have a lm squirt which will soon be rotated with a ladybug3. I carry one of those so I don't offend/scare anyone with one of the others, and the squirt is very handy. On my keys I also have a swisstech utili-key, but it never sees use. And I also rotate a small flash light on my keys aswell -either a photon freedom, or a finix p1. In addition to those things I always have a cell phone for...you know. And I tend to have a lighter with me -though I don't smoke. But I do also always have a can of skoal straight longcut in my back pocket. -I rotate it with the occational can of kodiak ice. -And sunglasses for the sun. I got a mini flint/magniesium stick on my keys too now that I think of it. With the combination of these things I feel pretty well prepared for the average day and beyond.

Victorinox Classic SD on my keychain, along with a SwissTech Utili-Key.
A Case Mini Blackhorn is on my carabiner, with a Leatherman Micra.
My wallet contains a Victorinox SwissCard Lite and a razor blade, as well as a spare key for the house. I keep basic first aid supplies (bandages, gauze, wipes) in the pocket in it.
I carry a .38 derringer in my jacket pocket.
A CRKT Ryan Plan B is usually strapped to the inside of my right ankle.
I carry a neck knife, but the brand varies. Becker Necker, CRKT Fixed Falcon, etc.
I have a pocket knife attached to my right front pocket. Usually a Byrd Cara Cara in G-10.
If I'm carrying bags or a back pack, I add more things as necessary.

Keys, wallet, the crap in my wallet, cell phone, and either a M16-10KZ or M16-14D. depends on my mood

Yes another post regarding EDC'ing YAAYY:D :D

...how about you ?

OK. I'll play.

I EDC a lockback because for me it is the most secure lock and I have no interest in opening a blade quickly. SD with a blade is never a parameter. I just want to open it with one hand so the other is free to hold what I am going to cut. These days I mostly EDC a Native III PE because I like its aesthetics, I like the fit to my hand, I like the VG10 steel's edge retention, and I feel that a 3" blade is about the biggest I can carry in an urban environment without undue disturbance to the "blade challenged".

I also carry a Leatherman Micra because the corners of the screwdrivers are sharp and don't slip as easily in use. I find I use screwdrivers at least as much as I use my Native.

I also carry a maglite solitaire (single AAA bat). I carry it so I can see the bloody imprinting over the TV and computer jacks that I always seem to be fiddling with. They always seem to face away from the light and a solitaire provides just enough light to see the labeling.

Finally, I also carry a Vic Classic on my keyring because I like the toothpick.

My favs are my BM 940S Osborne (thin, light) and 735 Ares--love the spearpoint-- (and both are green and I love green). I love the smoothness and security of the axis lock, and both knives are a good size for EDC. I carry a black SAK classic on my key chain.

lately ive kept to the super knife folding razor. seems to get done anything i need to do and appears to people around here more as a "tool" than a "weapon".

once i get my new knives (twitch 2 and asisted opening razor) i will probably carry those juse because they should be quick to open and fit all my small tasks (usually just a general cut something small, i dont do much that has a common need for me to cut stuff).

No matter what I buy my EDC always shifts back to either the Spydie D4 or the regular BM grip with a black blade. I carry other stuff like like my emerson or an endura wave on duty (or rukus when in plainclothes), but nothing has yet surpassed them for spartan utility and design pleasantry.

EDC Work = Glock26 w two spare mags, Sebenza small classic, Fenix P1, Leatherman Wave, peerless cuffs, cell phone and at least $300 in cash. Because I go into bad areas and deal with bad people.
Home = Sebenza small classic, Fenix P1. Because anything less and I feel naked.

BM42 balisong or Spyderco Harpy for general cutting tasks, small two bladed wenger on keys w/ lanyard, wallet w/ Swisscard lite, electronic leash (Cellphone), wrist watch because punctuality is good, and my smokes:D

Still looking for that perfect EDC fixed blade that closes the gap between being useful and looking like a mall ninja (I work in an office) hehe

At school: Cell, Wallet, and Keys. I'm looking to add a swiss card to the wallet and to make myself an EDC keychain set that will include a small SAK.

Everywhere Else: BM32 Morpho because the lock is the strongest of any folder, the D2 blade holds a heck of an edge, it's surprisingly ergonomic, it's grippy enough, and I love balis. I'm adding a Delica and Trapper into the mix as more sheeple friendly knives.

Rat-3 D2- for those unexpected tough cutting jobs and because I feel nude without a fixed blade.
Vic Farmer- for cutting things when I am around others and the saw.
.45- This rotates somewaht depending on what I am wearing. Today its a full size kimber. It goes from sub-compact to full size but it is never anything other than a .45 ACP is there any other defensive caliber?
extra magazine
Surefire L4- to see is dark places.
Wallet and keys.
Folder- this rotates almost daily but its usually either a spyderco endura or a benchmade griptilian in D2.

-Case Ridgeback fixed black-- for cutting chores
-3AA Mini-Maglite-- for when I take walks at night (still carry it during the day though)
-Cell phone-- to keep in touch and make Emercency Calls
-Sportsman's Lighter-- for lighting my friends' cancer sticks:thumbdn:
-Small squeeze tube of Vaseline-- chapped lips are a constant problem for me
-Keyring (includes P-38 can opener) in a Vietnam compass pouch- for unlocking things
-El-cheapo Wal-mart wallet-- cause its a whole heck of a lot better than carryin' a purse
-Glock 78 combat knife-- to defend myself and the people with me
-metal electric-tape-wrapped yawara stick with relatively pointy tips-- also to defend myself and the people with me
-Timex digital wristwatch-- duh, so I know what time it is
