You can't beat a Busse....

Oh wait, yes you can......

You can beat it through just about anything.

Seriously though, I am pretty sure you have set yourself a mighty challange, and I hope you can succeed to some degree. Hours and hours have I searched the web and have come to the conclusion that Busse stands as the very best in hard use knives. I wish Noss's videos were still on YouTube, he literally beat and grossly abused a Battle Mistress (with the intention of breaking it) until he gave up. This isn't to say they won't break, but they seem to take 10x the beatings most other competitor's do (we are talking big name's with big claim's).

Good Luck and make sure to send me a prototype:D

Noss videos. I forgot about them. Thank you very much.

That is a great starting point. Unless I will be able go get anywhere close in terms of endurance, it wont be worth mentioning.

just an fyi so no one is confused, Noss did break that Battle Mistress. It took an insane amount of force, but it did break.

One thing to consider with Busse is there are knives that will out perform a Busse knife in individual areas. There are some with better edge retention for example, but Busse has an overall performance ratio that is difficult of not next to impossible to equal.

One of the things that is included in the cost of your BUSSE knife is the knowledge that they have already been battle tested and have passed with flying colors through some of the harshest and most extreme real war conditions and survival scenarios.

The amazing INFI Steel, the unique "heat treatment" and the superior construction already have a proved and well documented "actual use" history and track record which is one primary reason why BUSSE is the #1 knife of choice for people that know they will need a knife that can take incredibly hard extended use and a goodly amount of reasonable abuse should that ever be necessary.

Musta missed that one, how did he end up breaking it?

I believe that he locked the blade into a large vise and repeatedly beat on it with both hands and all of his might using a 5 Pound sledge hammer.

In Noss's videos Bussekin knives usually broke while cutting angle iron or pipe (the final test). The blade usually broke at the point where material was being cut first, and after that he stuck it in a vice and hit the handle from the side as well.

Maybe its the Rat in me coming out but for my uses the Swamp beats Busse :) and the great thing is I know for sure I am not the only one who feels this way SR101 is just freaking amazing.

It's when the two work together that nice things can happen...say, for example the unicorn-esq mythical INFI RMD.
