I always go with what just "speaks" to me. Sometimes it's the cheap ones, sometimes it's a nice one, sometimes it's both. A time or two I've walked out without anything. Just go feel the place and see what calls.

Make sure you got your smart phone and check prices for what you see and like.
While I like paying a premium for holding and seeing a knife in person and being able to take it home right there and then, that premium better not be 200% )
