What do you guys use for hunting? I think for small game I'll use my BAD and for big game, probably will try my SAR5 (until the SAR4 comes out!)

No pic of my BAD that doesn't include my 357 so I'll skip that pic.

I recently used my BAD for butterflying and trimming out the spines on some rainbow trout. It worked efficiently, no complaints. It is excellent in tandem with a filet knife for any freshwater fish.

The Milly AD is the blade I use to field dress my deer. I've used it and the CG BM a bunch!

Over the season I used:
Active Duty
Cultellus
Two Game Wardens, one fatty and one skinny
Swamp Rat Hairy Carry

BAe, yea, this one performed better than anything I used all season! I will have this one almost exclusive in 2009.

No hunting, just fishing. Heavy Duty-2 lb. catfish (pliers too.) Skinny AD-2 Bream (1/2 lb. each), 3/4 lb. Crappie. Catfish tasted like mud, even cats wouldn't eat it. Bream, Crappie, cornmeal battered & fried, mmmm, delicious.

Jerry told me the BAe was the best skinner they've done,

butt grind and usable forward and reverse edge grip

....... get him drunk and talk about it sometime ;)

He got tipsy in San Antonio. :D But all I asked about was this new company called ******* and about this broken folding thing that looked like ***** and ***** with a little ****** thrown in. And the new super secret knife called ******* ******* ****** .

EDIT: hmmmm where'd all those asterisks come from?????? :o

Anyhoo, the BAe is the king of field dressers!!!

I use 3 different AD's and a Culti for hunting/skinning/game prep. I find them the perfect all around design. Just love em.

anyone use a game warden for hunting?
i am thinking that i may give it a shot, just wondering...

I've used my double cut and black micarta .170" and my blue/black fatty .220" for field dressing deer.

I skinned a few hogs with mine, it worked well, but was just a tad short for my liking. The choil tended to catch and hang up. I got used to it after a bit, but i think i'd prefer just a little more blade.

A leaner works very nicely:

I used my BAD on a couple of whitetails this fall. I think it's the perfect Busse for the job. I have a nice Sage/Green Linen Game Warden, but I never seem to carry it... it just looks so damn short when I open the Busse drawer! :)

Stay sharp,
