Let's see and hear about your Busse Hunting Knives!

I've put a GW, AD, Meaner, and SJTAC to task for whitetail and they have all had a turn on various grouse hunting excursions. I have a SAR5 too but haven't got pants for it yet, next season.

Some Pics.

They all ROCKED!!

Current use break down.

I've taken to carrying my SJTAC grouse hunting  it's not for the birds.;)
More of a great all purpose, I got lost and need to sleep out here knife. Also a good state park camp knife.

The Meaner is my choice for big game field work and weekend edc.

I give the edc duty to the AD.

GW is my around hunting camp edc.

I'm looking forward to putting the SAR5 through its paces this season and have a feeling with the right sheath this will end up being my all around hunting knife.

I have never used a Leaner but it's definitely one I'll be searching out down the road.

I posted this one once or twice before... It is my modded-meaner. I got damn tired of that silly 'flange' on the meaner poking my ribs. :thumbdn:

It's my favorite hunting knife. I did 4 deer with it this year, and I can't tell the edge has even been used. It still splits hairs. Damn INFI is amazing stuff! In my opinion the convex edge is superior to the V grind in edge retention.

My new huntin' buddy likes deer blood... yum....

when I have money, I'll replace the scales with micarta... the only part of the profile I changed from the shop was the last 1/2" of pommel and the scales. its a custom shopped sar5.

probably the coolest part of this is the edge thickness, .028" at the ricasso and .035" at the tip. it is my do everything edc belt knife. it would make for a good hunter *tough this would be camp chores rather then skinning* also because the epoxy coated grip actually gets grippier when it's wet. when it's dry it feels slick, but when it's wet it's like holding onto 600 grit sand paper.

Well... it's in the Busse family...
I still skin deer with my HR every year...

Of course, Ghostwolf prefers his beloved Game Warden...
