Yup, yup. I got one, and I'm not too proud to show it. I think it is my only MOTS though. I just couldn't pass up this little Ulster for the condition/price.

Where would you get a new peanut with a saber ground blade and a swedge and a long pull for $15 ?

AND....it's solid MOTS, not veneer ! :D

I just went and checked but I don't have fancy toilet seats in my house..

I've got one, but need to break the camera out. And it's a crappy one too ! The knife. . . .not the camera.

The only one I have. Its been tipped pretty bad but its got some life left in it. I picked it up for $5 so I use it once in a while.

I had one in the fisherman's pattern. It was a friend's knife; left behind when he moved off to Wisconsin. A blue ink pen had leaked in the same pocket, so it had a blue spot staining the cracked ice look. I mailed it back to him earlier this year. I sort of miss them both these days.

What exactly is "MOTS"?

Back in the day a few makers made some economy or Industrial revolutionalized made knives with stamped handles and they covered them with sheet celluloid or plastic.2 in R.I. Imperial and Colonial and a Richards out of England that I know of.

I almost forgot my Bulldog....but it's not sheet celluloid so I don't know if it qualifies.

That doesn't quite explain MOTS.

You have to be old enough to remember that toilet seats were covered with this same cracked ice pattern celluloid back in the 40's & 50's.

Not all of my examples are genuine. Some are Faux MOTS.
