What knives are your go to blades for dirty jobs? Not just package opening but more like stabbing holes in beer cans for shotgunning or stripping the insulation off 20 lbs of copper wire. I'm saying used and abused.

Here are a few of mine...

have you ever had that cudda bowie open in your pocket? man i got one when they frist came out cut a big hole in my new pants

If it’s going to get abused, dirty beyond recognition or there is a good possibility it will get lost I’ve got this on me instead of one of my better knives. Or in addition to this one will gets get pulled first for the skut work. Replacing a pool-liner caused me to by this.

Nope, and they aren't Cuda Maxx's. Both of them together cost me $1300. I've never had any open because I keep my pivots fairly tight. Both of mine are also tip up carry. That DDR bowie has been used as a machete in the wife's yard and it has developed a nice patina.

If I'm spending good money on a knife, I'm using it!
Made an improvised "camping toilet" from a folding chair with it.
Put it through the door of my buddies old F150 he was scrapping
Plenty of other daily use stuff, but it's still going nice and strong!

They're not beaters, but great users nonetheless. Some patterns before Schrade went out of buisness.

I usually EDC The Beast, but tomorrow I think I'll go with The Outback.

Benchmade 750 Pinnacle has been my go-to knife for almost every task around the farm since I bought it in the late 90's. It's the one on top. I would post a full photo but it's in pieces at the moment waiting for me to change the clip location.

Here are some of my users. The BM auto styrker & SOG Hawk are well abused. The CRKT CF Big Dog has been around a while and gets a ton of work. My Busse CGFBM and Colt Series 80 are my outdoor staples.

Well, the recycling centers stopped taking schorched wire here. Maybe they do now, but the last time I turned in wire was 3-4 years ago.

Well I use my scrapper 6 for alot of palat splitting. I disasembled a deck with it...that was fun!

Old picture...its got alot less coating on it now.

I beat the heck out of my Swamp Rat Bandicoot too. Great little knife (no pics).

As for folders? I have used my DDR Gunhammer for lots of stuff from breasting geese to cutting drywall. Knife feels great in my hand and whenever it gets ugly I feel comfortable sending it back to Darrel. I have only done it once but he sent it back good as new! Most of my folders I feel comfortable using anyway else I wouldnt have them.

Pic of my Gunhammer and a GW....need some more pics of my GH

While I like to use my folders my glock field knife has seen more abuse than I think I will ever put any knife through. It started with a convex bevel to help it cut but over time and with the aid of a belt sander its become full convex. The blade is rusty, the guard is loose, and it's been batoned through more logs with a ball peen hammer that I care to mention. It never gives up and it has yet to fail and is the first knife I grab when dirty work needs to be done :D

These knives are the ones I take for heavy work around the farm or for working on my own house. Cheap knives, but strong and great for that kind of work.
