I see, in that case, I'd probably do the sameWell, the recycling centers stopped taking schorched wire here. Maybe they do now, but the last time I turned in wire was 3-4 years ago.
Back to the topic at hand.
I've got a CRKT Cruiser that I bought when i was 17. The tip is broken off. I've used it as a chisel. I've dug screws and nails out of wood. Its covered in rust and dirt. I bent the blade from opening countless paint cans. The clip fell off so i super glued it back on. It developed blade play, but i messed with the pivot screw and its solid now. Pics when the wife gets home with the camera.
