SaintZe, where do I get those CF grip scales?

Igorded. He's got his own thread in the Custom Shop. He stocks a few designs in his shop, if you want something different you can shoot him an email and he'll machine them for you. The set of scales I ordered are Anso style CF with orange G10 liners, cut 4mm longer than stock mini-grip scales, in order to facilitate a better grip.

For years, I've wanted a CF handled knife, but never found the right one... then this guy came along. It's a perfect application of CF, in my opinion. I don't want a thick, heavily-contoured handle, or full liners, or anything like that. I want CF to keep things light, thin, and simple. With the 940-1, they take advantage of CF's rigidity and skip the full liners, the scales are flat enough to be essentially ignored in the pocket, but comfortable enough in-hand, and most of all, it's LIGHT! It is actually lighter than a lot of similar non-CF knives, which is surprisingly hard to find. When I looked into CF for EDC awhile back, I kept coming to the conclusion that I could just get a slightly smaller knife for the same weight and a lot less money. But what I find appealing about the 940-1, is that it weighs the same as a lot of those smaller knives.. If I want a knife lighter than 2.4oz, I would need to really drop down in size, get used to plasticy handles, or really up the price.

I know a lot of you guys have had 940's, and some here aren't big on Benchmade, but.... this knife just appeals to me. Simply put, it's my idea of smart CF integration.

Here's a few of mine. G10 just does not ring my bells like it used to. And some very cool things are being done with cf combinations and combined material.
