Lets see some Hinderer action

If I had to pick one Half Track to order, it would be that one. That blade, blue/black scale and the stonewash look great together.
Thanks. Its the same exact finish/color combo my Full Track was. Really hoping DLT has enough available when they come back in stock!

Is this a gen 5? No insert and no tri-way?

That’s how my Full Track was, as well. I loved that color combination.

Finally got all my hardware in - thanks DLT!!
Trying to show some natural light photos here which really sets off some of the finishes. Battle Blue is just an awesome finish. It can look dull and drab and then metallic Royal Blue in the right light.

Here you can see a big difference between blade finishes - supposedly both Stonewashed, but the XM-24 is REALLY stonewashed while the Half Track looks like almost a polished satin. Or, is it how the different steels take the media? S35VN vs 20CV vs M390 etc... either way I love it.

I noticed the same thing with the finish on my Half Track. The handle is definitely standard Hinderer stonewash, but the blade looks like more an extremely fine blaseted finished that is then polished. I really like this particular finish combo, it gives the knife a bit of a two tone finish with the blade contrasting slightly with the coarse stone wash on the handle while more closely matching the polished hardware.

Yep, I like it too - I think you’re right. A polished bead-blasted finish.

Probably the coolest straight white Stonewash / polish I’ve seen on a Hinderer was the blade of my M390 Full Track.
The particular finish on that blade was just amazing looking. I’m really hoping it comes back to me.

There is something about the non-flippers that draws me in. Such a nice looking knife. Will have to get one once they release them as Gen 6s

I agree. Hoping they keep running the non flip in Gen 4 though :) I realize it won't happen but I love the thought!

If you find a gen 4, I would bet it’s just as smooth as a gen 6 on bearings. Mine flicks open easily and drops shut without having to shake the knife to make the blade fall. I haven’t looked for any, so I don’t know if they are hard to find or not.
