Lets see some Hinderer action

Question - I can't remember where I saw it but apparently either the Hinderer XM-18 or the Emerson Sheepdog has a lot of blade play when in the closed position. Something to do with the detent maybe? I don't want to end up with a known problem knife with all that slop. Are there other similar bowie folders I should be considering besides this one and the Emerson:

We have sold a lot of Hinderer Knives and I never see blade play in the closed position. Like Joe said, I have seen it when someone has messed with the detent on one.

I agree with Whitty, I have a few XM 18 the only way I could see blade play is pivot screw too loose. When you tune them up it is only a fraction of a turn from sticky and too loose.
Lots of info how to tune them up I wont go into that here

It's the Emerson Sheepdog's that have the issue, I finally found the original place (youtube) that discussed and demoed it.

Joe that is awesome. Not going to lie it took me a minute to find the knife Once I did I was not 100% sure because of the logo. After spotting it in pic 1 it was a little easier in pic 2 and 3. Very cool knife! Nicely done Curtis!

Finally got around to dressing up the DLT special...

I can't help myself, when it comes to Hinderer's plain stonewash and blue Ti hardware, lol!

That looks great. In hindsight I wish I would have ordered more standard stonewashed knives.

Shout out to Scott for hooking me up with this factory pocket clip. He is definitely more than just a dealer he's also an enthusiast. He is great to have in this community. Knife feels so much better in hand with this clip.
