Lets see some Hinderer action

I was cooking just now and when I come back to check the DLT site, all XM-18 3.5"s were already gone, in less than 30 minutes? wow...

Pretty crazy how fast the Hinderers are flying off the shelves. Lot of newer people interested in knives. Year ago there was standing inventory. Either way good for Rick and the hobby, also glad I snagged my 24s when available 👍🏼

I want to be a Hinderer guy but the folders don't generally connect with me that well. Mostly because I'm not huge into flippers. I had a custom fixed blade ordered that I was told would be ready this summer but after contacting the maker he is a year behind and can't deliver this year. I wanted a new fixed blade for some upcoming camping this fall and ran across the Ranch Drop Point so I put in an order.

I only have one 24...but...I'm glad I got it when I did. (OD Green / Battle Bronze sheepsfoot.)

I know it’s crazy. I love Hinderers but it really sucks for those of us who don’t always have extra money hanging around every day.
With how popular (and expensive) his knives are hopefully he will be able to expand his business in the near future, I’m certainly hoping for that. So maybe someday you’ll be able to purchase a Hinderer model like you can a ZT....any model, any day....or close to it. 👍

I do feel your pain but things have actually improved considerably, though. Procuring XMs used to be much more difficult and much, much more expensive.

I actually didn't plan to buy from this DLT batch as I already bought one a few days ago. I was just impressed with how fast hinderer knives sell lately. At this point, I am looking forward to xm-18 3.5" of bowie and wharnie, regular or even better skinny.

^Ok, not quite what I meant, not the forum for that... But send me a PM if you want to chat, I'll tell you what's up. For now though... Show and tell. :)

Knock it off!!! We've been down this road. Warnings next...
I'm REALLY not trying to be sneaky with anything, and sorry if I mis-spoke. I just meant, my collection is fluid, and I'm gonna do something, but I'm not sure what. Today, right now, this is what I've got. Expect a different picture next week or something.

How about just sharing images and discussing Hinderer knives without all the detail about what you intend to do or need to sell or whatever.

I'm sure many of our members have to make such decisions about their collections, what to keep and what to move along...whether motivated by finances or changing interests. We don't need to clutter up the thread with such...and again, this isn't the place to get feelers.

Let's move on. A word to the wise should be sufficient.

So, moving on...

This sheepsfoot is my first encounter with the DLC coating.

How does it wear? Is it going to get marked up pretty easily? Or no ...? I plan to put a black scale on this and it's good to go. So happy I found one of these!
