Lets see some Hinderer action

Hinderer's OD has really grown on my lately. Probably one of the more prestigious looking colors. Kinda reminds of like jade or celadon.

XM-18 3.5 Spanto inbound. The only other Hinderer experience I have is with the XM-24 Bowie. I'm hoping the size difference won't feel too drastic...

Should feel tiny for “El Gigantor” :)

Don’t worry, it will feel quite substantial ....
What can I say? 7ft1 tall with hands like baseball gloves. Love my 24 but it always feels a little unwieldy when I'm carrying/using it. The Project X seems like it'd be perfect but it's also impossible to acquire.

*le sigh*

6ft 5 here “only”, but 3XL motorcycle gloves - I feel with you.

Don’t have an X but several Fulltracks, and I agree - size is great.

The XM18 is fine though, the choil helps .... enjoy !

Beautiful! And dang that’s like $3,000 right there. Gonna be getting my 2nd scale this Friday I hope, for my WF Bowie !
and you sir are a bad influence for us folks trying to save up money for Christmas lol
Btw like Glenn said, that blue, especially on the Eklipse looks beautiful!

Quick question: The screw at the top of the lockbar; what exactly does it do? Mine backed out of my XM-24 completely and I had to search my house to find it. I imagine it's not a make-or-break piece of hardware as far as functionality is concerned, but I'd like to hear from more knowledgeable users than myself on the topic.

If I'm understanding correctly what you're asking about ... that is the lockbar stabilizer. A copy and paste in their words.

Hinderer Development -

First developed by world-renowned knifemaker Rick Hinderer, the lock bar stabilizer is an over-travel stop that prevents the lock bar from springing beyond the knife's designed range when using an integral lock bar system (framelock). When a lock bar over travels, the blade fails to lock up, which renders a knife essentially useless. In part, when the lock is disengaged, the spring tension on the lock (which moves behind the blade), can become negatively impacted.

If you're talking about this it's for the lockbar interface insert. If it hasn't fallen out yet it's just the tolerances holding it in. I'd contact RHK about getting a replacement screw ASAP not use the knife in the meantime.

Thank you, that's exactly what I'm talking about. I was able to thread the screw back in. Is the replacement still warranted?

They might warrant it if it fell out and got lost. Hard to say. But you at least found it then? Might be worth throwing some blue thread lock on.
