Just finished up my m4 blade. Deep hollow slicer grind tanto... not sure if I should add a swedge or not! I'm playing around w/ a different flipper tab... elongated and square, I'll try to get more pics soon

Is it possible to open the Half Track one handed, by pressing your thumb into the groove in the blade?

I know I am a Half Track nut but I have used a lot of small knives. I have to say that in my opinion, for its size, it is the best in the under 3" category for overbuilt knives while still giving that bigger knife feel in hand!

No. At least, not on mine.

Good to know, thanks. I have absolutely no need, but yet a desire to find a small-ish stout all-ti frame lock with a forward finger choil, but that is not flipper only. My wallet is relieved and the search continues. I do still need to handle one of these at some point though.

This is my placeholder for one of my grails, a Hinderer MP-1 with micarta scale and bronzed Ti. Just imagine it sitting here.

I am afraid not. You can pinch it with 2 fingers and open the knife holding the blade but I don't think that is what you are looking for!

The grooves are not useful for opening one handed. The Half Track is the best flipper of the Hinderer stable, IMO. It's a little beast.

Wondering if anyone is rocking the HMBS and if so how they are liking it.

I haven't seen too many xms kitted out with one.

My copper lined beater below. Copper clip on the way courtesy of Scott.
