Lets see some kit pictures!

I like to carry a large hollow handled survival knife, wear only boots and black BDU pants, pack a compound bow with explosive arrowheads, bring some huge muscles in case I need to destroy something, and prefer an M60E3 machinegun but I'll take whatever I can get from the people I kill.

The RAT is awsome! Its D2 steel, which holds an edge like I cant believe. Its not heavy at all, very comfortable in the hand. I have used it all day cutting brush, hard and soft woods, and vines and it still was very sharp, it only took a few strokes on a diamond stone and back to razor sharp. I also have battoned it to split fire bords, also battoned a piece of dry oak to see if it would take the beating and it did fine. I have used it to pry The coating on the blade doesnt seem to be coming off dispite the heavy use. I haven done any digging, because I have a shovel for that. I have used it to skin small game, the finger choil comes in handy for that, also very comfortable in that position. Not much I feel like I cant do with it, I highly recomend it! I am planning to get the RATK 2, which is the same as the original but the with the handle that is on the RAT 7. Looks very nice. Here is a pict.

And for the heck of it, my tools i'll have with me, although the reason I ask about the rat is I want to switch my ka-bar and mora, for a rat.

wade- nice kit what is the container beside the led light in your wilderness kit?
and what are the screws for?? thanks in advance

The container is a Film canister with petroleum jelly cotton balls inside. And the thing that looks like a screw, is portable aqua tablets sealed in a drinking straw. I melted one end together, stacked I think over twenty tabs in the straw and then melted the other end shut. Its water tight. In my EDC kit you can see a 4 white sticks, those are straws with petroleum jelly and cotton inside that have been sealed the same way. When you need them just cut off an end, squirt it out on your tinder, fluff it up a bit and stike the flint on there. Works like a charm and you dont get your hands all covered with crap.

Here's a food gathering kit that I've put together. It's meant to suppliment, but does open up resources some when added to Shotgun and bow.
