Lets see some kit pictures!

longbow50, I like the idea of a frog gig. Does all of that fit in your maxpedition pouch? I have a large gaph hook that I could use, the gig would work much better, small fish too. Nice. We used to go frogging when I was a kid, we would go at night and shine a flashlight on them, sneek up and hit them in the head with a long pole. I love frog leggs. Who says you cant eat good in the bush?

Wade, nope the pouch is just enough for my EDC. I have an E. German belt pouch that everything fits into and it lives in a larger kits rucksack.

Here is my day-hiking/survival kit. IMO very complete! If you really don’t have a clue what is what, just ask me a detailed question. My backpack with hydration-system and separate water bottles is not on the picture.

Ant of course a detail picture on the knifes: BK7, TAK, Howling Rat, Opinel 8, Leaterman Wave and Victorinox OHT. I rotate the fixed blades and the Wave or OTH for what I think is best at that particular day. So I only have to carry one fixed and one multi-purpose knife on a trip. The Opinel is always on me for wood carving and fine cutting. I got a lot more knifes but these are my outdoor favourites! Is there anything on trail you cant do with a fixed blade and multi-tool/SAK combo!

Here are my cutting tools.

The Busse MR and the leatherman are with me all the time, to these I will add the BRK&T fox river for carving food prep and fine cutting and if I need more chopping power either the golock or the Gransfors small forest axe, depending on location. Note The axe is brand new, I used a fiskers before. I absolutly love the gransfors.
