Hey tarmix,

I like pics too. Which is it you would like to see: every day carry knife; favourite knife in a collection or favourite hunter? Do you wish to pick a theme, or will any pic of any knife do?

Roger

AWESOME OUTDOOR BLADES, tarmix!

Sorry to be off-topic but those are tools reflective of a lover of the great outdoors! I am deeply jealous! I believe the "newcomer" of the group is the Kellam? Tell us how it handles?

Nice Pics.

Out of curiosity, is the sheath for your Grohmann no. 1 a stock version, or a custom / modified version? It looks great, and it is unlike my own Grohmann sheaths (it's got a darker stain and a different shape).

I'll try and answer all in this one post. I would like to see any knives that YOU love and carry. I have my own opinion on what I like. I also like to see what everyone else is into/carry/hunts with. The whole idea that someone else is a "knife dork" as my Wife calls me, is great.

The Kellam is GREAT. Very easy to sharpen, though holds an edge well. I convexed the edge a little to keep from chipping out however. Feels very warm in the hand and is almost an extension of my arm when using. For me this is unusual for a blade over 5 inches.

My Grohmann sheath has been dyed a mahogany, and wet fit. I used a bent spoon to shape the lines when wet, and stuffed the blade in covered with plastic wrap.

Thanks all..... any pics will do BTW

While the trapper is just a week old, it will be carried.

Good stuff!
When you look at your photo albums at photo bucket there are 3 windows under each photo.
One starts with
.
If you click on that window, copy the contents and past it here, the photo will show up here.

Like this ;)

Sorry if I screw this up,just trying to post pic of a new one I recently acquired.Don Hanson,Texas Toothpick, early Hanson Damascus.

Red letter day for me,first pics posted, here's two more,Don's first Bowie and his first forged Bowie. :D Don graciously replaced the old sheath on his first forged Bowie with a new one.The furniture is brass and the handle on first forged is antelope horn.

:o :o :o mabey just a bit smaller huh. Just wanted to make sure ya'all could see it:D Any advise on re-sizing the pics????

Well, I change the size in PhotoShop.
Don't know what software you have...
Maybe a search on posting pictures here and at the other forum will help you with that.
The info is out there, I just can't put my mouse on it ;)
