Only one I have now with patina I've applied myself through use is this on a GEC beavertail;

My only other carbon knife that I've carried much got a polished edge sharpening when I shelfed it, and it took 90% of the patina off.. Thats the price I pay for the polished / stropped edges that i like.. :(

These here are natural patina, from someone elses' use,

my 3 beloved "yeller" case, with patinas courtesy of Granny smith and general food prep, think i'm gonna make a Yeller knife block for them in the kitchen:)
I didnt really force the patina but i sure as hell didnt try to combat it:D
the photo aint my best (it was sleeting:() Think i need some real sunshine...

p.s. was it standard on the 90's case to have recessed pins:confused: (my trapper)

I believe it was standard as mine has them also. See my pic above, it looks the same as yours.

yeah i noticed that, any idea why i mean it doesnt really bother me but i noticed they arent like that anymore, love my trapper though:thumbup:
a mighty fine christmas present if i do say so:D
its funny cause i saw your trapper and was like "ah man somebody already posted a yeller trapper, beat me to it:)"

I have an unused Sodbuster on the way to me, I'm looking forward to it earning a patina, hopefully one day it'll look as good as yours do guys!
