This is an art knife hunter by Travis Daniels called Desert Moon. Five different woods used in the handle with torquoise moon on each scale and sterling silver wire for the mountains and the stars.

Nice knives, guys. Hunters are very under-rated becaust they are so common. This thread makes up for that. :)

Another nice D'Holder with Pat D'Holder's engraving:

Gaetan Beauchamp, like D'Holder, puts his mark on the right side. He's a lefty, that's why. ;)

Just a 'simple' Don Fogg with a forged finish...

Not sure where I copied this from. Some site obviously, but I don't know which one. Anyway, I love the damascus, and I really like the "shark fin"

Here is one I made several months ago. All four blades are forged 1084, handle is stag. The blades interchange by prssing a button on top of the handle. I also engraved a "thick and thin" border on the bolsters

Tom, that's a very nice hunter. I don't imagine you get the chance to make many of those anymore, do you?

Wow - what a great display of hunters of all types so far - thanks! Here are a few more...

An elegant little drop point hunter with wire-inlay by Dan Farr (don't recall where I got the pic from):

A nicely turned out (and very pointy) offering from Terry Primos (pic from knifeart.com):

Here's a little cutie by Nick Wheeler. As cute as it is in the picture, it's even better feeling in the hand. My friend nicknamed me Danbo, soul Brother of Rambo because I like big knives, but I also love little knives too. This one feels SO good in the hand. :)

Blade is maybe 3" of forged 1084(gotta love that Hamon!)with very nice cocobolo slabs on a full, tapered tang. This is the kinda knife you stick on your belt, and forget about until you need it. Weighs close to nothing too.

Edited, because I needed the pic elsewhere.

Danbo asked me to post this pic of a sweet little Nick Wheeler damascus hunter. I'm sure he'll provide the details. hey Danbo - how many people have tried to pry that one out of your hands so far?

Roger

Roger, that little damascus Wheeler hunter is so popular that I can't bring it to my local knife club meetings anymore. I got tired of people trying to buy it or trade me out of it.

The knife itself, started out as a small piece of Kevin Cashen's 80 layer O1/L6 twist damascus and a small round piece of nice stag I had laying around. Nick was kind enough to forge out this hunter for me and I couldn't have been more pleased. Guard and spacers are stainless.
