Nice to see some activity here again! :D
It's top-notch activity, too! Man, that Blackout Alox knife is spectacular!:thumbup:
Love the tool selection, with both scissors and saw ready for action.
The color really appeals to me currently, too; what sort of coating is used on the blades?
I just purchased a Colt canoe with black titanium-coated carbon steel blades and black G-10 handles, and think it looks VERY cool. Your knife gives me that same feeling. I'm really a "goody two shoes" kind of guy, but carrying a "black on black" knife I feel almost bad to the bone! :D:D

Thank you guys for the positive feedback!

I chosed black oxide for the coating of blade/tools, the scales and liners are black anodized aluminium/alox.

Best regards

Chris

Here is a very interesting Victorinox Angler/Fisherman that I picked up the other day. Its probably from between 1957 and 1961 given the aluminum tweezers and triangular awl and its in surprisingly fantastic shape. It has the very rare notch in the scissors for crimping lead fishing weights. It also adds a metal saw/file to the normal fisherman tool set. It only has the inlaid sea horse without a Victorinox shield. The fisherman models are not really my cup of tea, but its so unique and rare that I had to pick it up from the seller who had no clue what it was or how old it was.

I also picked up an old Victorinox Explorer, German Army Knife, and onyx Mountainer. I think the onyx of the Mountainer has faded to more of a brown color which is cool.

Those are some interesting SAKs, Thales! Congrats on finding them.:thumbup:

Nice photo of your orange Farmer, SAK Guy!:thumbup:
Can't quite figure out what it's setting on, but with all the news I hear lately about continued rain in parts of Texas, my imagination sees the background as raindrop pummeled sand. I hope you're managing to keep your knives (and everything else) reasonably dry and safe!

Thank you GT!!!! Yes, that's it...rain pounded sand! We are on a higher piece of land and since it's very sandy here, it soaks in pretty fast.
