Wow, I'm blown away by the beauty of these pictures. This is one of the best threads on this topic on the internet! I'm looking after a Leatherman or an SOG since I want a multi-tool with reliable pliers, however, I am kind of undecided. I found a selection on this site and it seems that Leatherman might be a better choice from what they describe.

It looks like that the Power Assist feature from SOG is not really anything else than a marketing strategy. I can't find anyone who can say that an SOG multi-tool with Power Assist is hands down better than a Leatherman, of course when speaking of items in the same price range.
