I know alot of guys that tend to edc a yellow delrin case knife, while leaving their more expensive knives at home. I 've seen a yellow handle knife thread, but how about a yellow handle knife thread to show ones that have alot of character and are truly pocket-worn from years of use and being carried?

Jigged delrin might show pocket wear and the effects of carrying it for awhile but smooth delrin wears so well that even knives covered with it don't show severe wear over time - my .02¢ . Now as to blades, liners, frames, etc., it may well be a different story.

I've carried and used this trapper quite a bit but I don't think it's displaying the type of wear you're asking about. It does have a crack in the pile side cover at the spring pin but nothing to get excited about. There is some green oxidation from the brass liners seeping up through the crack at the spring pin and at at each bolster but again, nothing to get excited about.

Nice idea for a thread.

Not meaning necessarily just a worn out yellow handle, but a yellow handle knife in general with overall pocket worn look. Maybe the yellow has faded, the sheild worn smooth, and the bolsters worn and scratched from years of pocket carry, along with blade patina.
Nice trapper!

It is so strange this thread popped up! About a week ago I tried to trade some stuff for a Yellow CV trapper at a local flea market. Knife was new but showed some patina... However... the people at the booth had it marked at almost 90 dollars!!!! I guess they thought they had something rare and declined a trade... So I could not stand it and have one en route from my home town hardware store for considerably less... should have it tomorrow or the next. Pretty excited.... BTW found some other Cases at the same place and they had them priced considerably higher than what they are worth... Kinda crazy...

I bought this one in the late 90's and carried it daily up until recently when I got "cooler" knives. I didn't think much about it or really do anything to take care of it other than wipe it on my pants leg. A few months ago I had to send a knife in to Case for a repair and I sent it in for a clean-up job. So this picture is post cleanup. It looked much more pocket worn before and I swear the yellow delrin is a lighter color now after they cleaned it up.

I agree with MODOC,the yellers just dont show wear very well...My slimline is buttery smooth and my favourite CASE......................FES

Nice composition Fester. Beautiful spectrum of yellows. The trapper lies somewhere between the banana and one of those beans. Makes me want an "old yeller" probably a Case CV.
