i LOVE my benchmade 940. good looking and extremely functional. but it rides high in the pocket when i have it clipped. not unreasonably high though.

Just saw this thread and thought I'd chime in.

The first knives I ever made were a reverse tanto/angular wharnie that I decided to name the Habu. Not terribly popular, but I find the design to be extremely useful. I have the very first one I made in CPM 154, and use it hard every day.

I have since modified this design into a more traditional wharncliffe, but still get requests for the old Habu now and again.

Here's a thread I started awhile back.

This "reverse tanto/modified sheepsfoot/modified wharncliff" knife design is probably the most aesthetically pleasing of any I have seen so far. I dont know why though. The sweeping curves and practicality of it seems wonderful for daily use.

This is the only reverse tanto blade I have, but my picture isn't as good as Brother Powernoodle's. I want to make a contribution though.

I am getting used to the blade shape and definitely like it.
