I have had the itch for a new trapper lately, been lookin at the stockman thread and really admiring the jigging on the bokers, don't see many Boker trappers on here, so post pics if you have them.
Of coarse if you don't have a Boker trapper, no worries, I love to see pics of trappers of all kinds, especially if they are well used and sport a nice patina.
I used to have several Boker trappers and a bunch of case, but fell on some hard times last year and had to sell the bulk of my collection to pay bills, now I am slowly building it back up as money becomes available.
my only current trapper that I carry is my case from the early 90's, it has a seen a bunch of kitchen duty over the years and performed well. When I got the knife the clip blade made contact with the back spring so I used a dremel to remove the high spot that was hitting the blade. Also, both blades canted downwards and it bugged me, so out came the dremel and I carefully ground down the shoulder of the tang until the blades were flush when open.
I have certainly seen knives with better fit and finish, but the blades are tight and well centered with good snap, and I love the shape and thinness of the clip blade.
I consider it's flaws to add character and it makes me unafraid to use the knife the way it was intended.
here are a couple pics of my case helping me with breakfast this morning, it cut slices of pumpkin bread, and held down the coffee cup for pictures, lol.
Lets see your trappers!
