Let's see the face behind the knife

Me and the princess

That little girl looks just like my niece. After I saw that pic I had to go down the street to my sister's house and give her a hug and fly her around like an airplane. She wouldn't stop laughing. It was fun. So thanks for that.

I'm telling you clich, that kid will cut you. He's got a pretty decent Barlow scowl already....

I'm not going to post what I found when I Googled "shemal" before seeing the photos. Lets just say I'm thankful I didn't go straight to GIS...

I think you mean "shemagh" also known as a keffiyeh :)

I actually typed that on purpose because it sounds incredibly similar when said aloud, lmao. Before I got mine as a gift, the family friend whom gifted it to me made me google 'shemal' myself...I cried. Ah well, I love our humor.

I apologize if I scarred you, I am just sharing an on-going joke :D

That is the standard uniform for being a sign language interpreter... There are some slight variations but it's Black shirt, black slacks, and red wing shoes for guys.

By chance, was that picture taken in a Mens Restroom?
How did you get into interpreting?

Been signing since I was 3 years old. When I got fired and needed a job everyone kept telling me I needed to go get my interpreter's license. I was reluctant cause I don't think I'm a good "Interpreter" I'm a "signer." But I went and took the test. Got a 92% right off the bat so off to work I went.

And no, not bathroom... Locker room. We had a gym at work.

Pretty cool! I used to teach deaf and blind students years ago. I ran a machine shop training program where folks were prepared for positions in private industry. It was very "one on one" intensive, but I placed a number of people in jobs where they were very successful.

You could, Chameleonbear! A bit of training at a technical school (lots of them offer night classes) and you would be able to qualify for an entry level position where you'd be able to work your way up. Plus, your signing skills might qualify you for a position training deaf people. I know several corporations that took my students were very happy with them and sometimes I was called upon to come in and help a student get acclimated to the job. The larger corporations often have programs for disabled employees that get them back into the competitive workplace and they need people that are experienced in working with the deaf population.

My recommendation would be to send out a few letters of introduction, explaining your skills and what you could do to help them. I believe you could do well, here.
