BTW...In case you're wondering "Whats up with the Shemagh?"....They recenty released cyborg hunter/killer mosquitos in Michigan...and they were off the chart. A gallon of 100% Deet wasn't stopping them...just ticking them off.

I use a shemagh almost daily, and especially when I'm in the woods. Haters can hate, but the shemagh stays. I wear a multitude of hats as well, most recently, Heroes Hats, look'em up.

Here in this pic, Heroes Hat on my head, shemagh keeping my legs from frying. Soak it down, drape it over, and keep cooler.

Shemaghs are the shiznits! It keeps the sun away from an exposed neck, and some water (or sweat) on them keeps the wearer nice and cool. Who hates on them?

And as far as shemaghs go, I think they're one of the greatest, most versatile items you can have. Beyond the obvious uses as a headwrap, scarf, face-mask etc, you can use it as a roll-up hobo backpack, arm-sling/triangle bandage, tourniquet, shade shelter, sarong-style skirt, blanket...and you can always throw a few rocks in the middle, twist it up, and have a means of self defense. It is far more than just a square of fabric, the same way denim jeans are far more than just pants.
