SirGalant, That Is a gerber harsey hunter. Its not a bad knife, but gerber doesnt tell ya what kind of steel it is. Im, like 99.99 percent sure its not 420, I would have to say at least 440B. It holds a edge well and stays pretty sharp. I dont use it for batoning or anything but after I reprofiled the edge It obviously cuts better( mind you you dont have to do that). Comes with a nice sheath and everything.

This is my setup, leatherman wave, wenger sak, not sure of model name, but its got the saw and scissors. The bushman is a great value, and I like the hollow handle for its possible use as a spear. I want to put a drop point and a false top edge on it.
The axe I made myself, my first project. I messed up the temper screwing around with it, I should have left it alone. anyway, it's 14 inches and I double wrap it with about 35'' of paracord, leaving the finger notches free. The only problem is I cut the grooves too deep and it tends to torque in my hand, but I havent actually used it on anything yet.
Theoretically this is what I want to have in the bush, but I'll wait until this spring before I find out how well it does.

Runs, I like the knife group. Is that a Colt Bisley hiding in there?

Thank you!

The revolver is just a humble Cimarron Arms Bisley in .45 Colt. It's my favorite all purpose knock around, stompin', woods loafin', truck ridin' gun. adequate power, points dead nuts for me, shoots and carries well and won't break the bank too bad if it goes for a swim or something.

The knife to the left in that group is an old Eskilstuna my father had given me. It originally had double guards and a short, uncomfortable handle on it. The one on the right was the first knife I ever made with my own ten thumbs.:D The blade was made from an old file, and the sheath was cut out of a worn out old holster that had been passed down through the family. Both of them seem to do a decent job, and are kinda fun to carry.

Thanks for the kind words also, Tarmix- Someday I'll get fit, finish, and attractive in there too, but for now I'm settling for usable..:D
