I think the ugly beat up knives look the best. I got possibly the most beat up used izula 2 in my hands, and its my favorite knife out of my collection. Lets see those knives with worn handles and coatings, knicks and scratches, and the scars that lable it a hard use knife.

I would post a pic but im on my phone at the moment and cant post on my phone. Im on vacation. When i get back ill upload one.

Not really beat up, but definitely used hard when neeeded; my edc Volt:

It's been ground to a zero edge and it cuts quite well.

Anything in the Scrapyard, Swamprat & Busse family just begs to be used hard.

The 511 is now stripped and naked due to the coating looking like sh!t from use...

Glad you like em! The tan SOD has been used to split a fair bit of firewood but it still looks pretty clean in that photo... lol!

Here's a few more:

Forester in action:

It shrugs off hard use and is still a stunner after being cleaned and oiled:

That forester is an elegant brute. Ive messed around with one.

Indeed! They are an amazing knife; two days of use cutting grooming a treeline barely dulled it.

I had my dogfather with me as well:

I love it.
Has a better edge than in the pics as I got it with that funky edge, but you get the idea.

Here are some pics of my "oh s**t where did I leave it?" knife. My favorite is my homemade Zombie Skinner fixed blade knife. It is just plain butt ugly, like it's owner!

Ain't she purdy? She don't cut no trees or nuthin, we use the Husqvarna for that chore.

The coating on my Esee 4 holds up to the abuse I give so it doesn't show all that well in photos on my phone.

If I had a Volt like Czech that would be my user! But as of right now my carbon fiber Sebenza and Les George Vecp are my everyday users.

Holy hell what are you using to sharpen that thing? You've ground away about 1/8 of an inch of steel off of it. The sharpening choil is no longer present! Haha

My Dad used this one for over 50 years:

Here's the folding knife I turn to for "hard use" situations:

The W49 in this picture got a lot of use, but I retired it when I learned how to make my own fixed blades.

I've been using this one now as my primary fixed blade knife, and early attempt of mine. I've used it hard to see what kind of abuse it can take, and I've learned a lot from it. Sometime soon, I'll make myself another fixed blade, incorporating those elements that will improve the knife's function.
