Now that's an interesting line up. You know which clip caught my eye? The 2015 forum knife. How about you Jolipapa? Do you have a favorite?

Must admit I have several favorites... Forum 2015, of course, very easy to open and use, briar root Lag, present of family a part of myself now, the coffin Kutmaster, a good slicer, love that shape, they come first, but I appreciate all of them, even the weirdo IXL (in fact I ordered a Joseph Rodgers but received this one!).

Only have a couple of Clip points. Here is a mini-copperhead with Sambar Stag covers

Fine variations Trand, all very decent examples.

Here's one from Queen I like and unlike other people, I really favour the slipjoint/backspring liner-lock combination. Safe & excellent.

Nice Queen Will .

ED Many thanks! It's a keen slicer too, that D2 arrived decent so it wasn't much work to get it even better.

As for Yellow Delrin, I've yet to see a knife that doesn't look handsome in it! Simple and satisfying.

Regards, Will

absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks! I kinda went crazy when these came out and ended up getting doubles of a couple but let the doubles go on the exchange. 1 of each handle cover is enough for me..... they should have done a standard run on these but they did a short run when they did an SFO last year instead.

Yes it is briar root, dates of the early 90s.
Nice Boule:thumbup: A 25? Chaperon was the former name, but nearly all the catalogue is still available! http://www.lecouteau.info/catalogues/chaperon-nontron/

Yes, it is a 25, as are the ones in this picture. Quite a nice handful of knife! The ball end is actually much more comfortable in hand than i thougjt it would be.

When I was looking for the right dealer, I came across a German site that claims these are used by the French mafia! I guess that's plausible seeing how long they've been around but I did find it to be an odd way to sell a knife. Interestingly enough, it was much cheaper for me to buy directly from France than from US sellers.

Boxwood is the traditional wood used for these, but I bucked the trend and went with ebony. Since I figured owning a checkerboard knife was ridiculous, I had to buy that one too.... it's made from Corian and ebony..... the premium price also included much better fit and finish as well, thankfully.

Thanks for the link.... that's some great info that I didn't have!

Also, oddly enough, I accidentally came into possession of a 7cm Forge de Laguiole in Briarwood with brass bolsters.... sans corkscrew, but it's still a fantastic watch pocket knife.

As I get more traditional knives in my hands I am seeing a trend toward preferring clip point blades. This picture shows what’s in my knife roll: of the 12 slots, six are clips. That surprised me a little. Seeing them together also shows how varying they are in style. Can’t wait to add the 77 barlow to the group for comparison.
