I'm sure with the exquisite taste of the membership here that there are some damascus slippies floating around in drawers and pockets... lets see 'em!

I have 2 right now, both Bear, one marked Bear and Sons, the other Bear MGC. Both 4-1/8" trappers. I have another, and even though it is lagoule in pattern, it is a liner lock so I will refrain from posting it here. ;)

poor pics of the first, my edc for almost a year, most of '06, did everything from open bags of concrete at work to cut steaks at home. It is now in pieces in my parts drawer awaiting my finding a fitting handle material for it.

that was after I thinned and dyed the original fat stag(did that the day i got it... it was just too thick);

The second started out in this deep worm groove red/amber bone. Nice, but I needed a project, so it now lives in "fat back" moose antler with textured bolsters and springs.

Odd I did it that way, like I said above, I thinned the first one from that look and that feel... I like thin folders, and generally dislike the stag look...

Best pattern pic I have;

My "holy grail" is a Damascus bladed Moose with copper bolsters and liners and nice orange mamoth tooth scales. :D Someday...

Serriously, a good carbon damascus, and a fancy bone or wood is the perfect knife to me, be it folder or fixed... Most of what I see in folders is raindrop pattern, I think mainly since it can be a small pattern and not bigger than the blade it is shown on, but I prefer a ladder pattern if I can find it: I was lucky that the first of these two trappers is a nice straight(inline with the blade) wavy pattern.

Hopefully I can afford to get one of the current Case Damascus peanuts before they are gone since it is my perfect carry pattern lately. My current want in damascus is a lock back, but the great 110 is hard to find(and Spendy!) in damas... but the hunt continues..

I don't own many slipjoints,but this one I'm particularly fond of.

Nice one's guys, JTR that's quite a hawkbill!
Here are a couple, first is a Case gunstock done for Thompson Center Arms' annual knife, I believe in 1991. Next up are a couple of Remington bullets, R1123, done in 1997:

:eek:Bastid,I love the contrast of the black damascus & the MOP handles on the first one & the spine work on the second one(what are those handles made of?).

The Maserin is an EDC.:thumbup:

The handle material on Don's knife is just that fossilized ivory that he whips up all the time. :D.

Don Hanson "Sunfish" (1095/203E, Jigged Rosewood), circa 1994:

That's a sweet canoe!:thumbup: never seen one quite like it:)

JTR, the "Sunfish" (or elephant toenail) isn't a canoe but I can see how that might come to mind.

It's a double-end, equal-end and a very large knife at about 4.5" closed and 9 ounces.

A "canoe" would have the upturned bolsters on each end that give it that familiar appearance.

Those Remington Bullets are SWEEET!!
Here is my only folder in damascus..
