Lets see those Leeks!

I knew my ears were burning for a reason. I'll be back.

Edit - well, I tried to do some scanner shots but they turned out horrible. I'll break out the camera today and start posting some pics.

Alright, I will try my best to post a Leek a day starting today. That should keep this thread going up through February and into March.

Here is the Leek that started it all, the 1660CKTST:

Yes, I removed the lock and the clip. I have a new one of these in the box for my collection's sake, but I figured I'd start with my user. This one has the black tungsten DLC coating which is some tough stuff! After the pictures, I was able to wipe most of the markings off. They must have come from my keys since I carry them in the same pocket.

Today's leek, the Ted Nugent Leek (1 of the 2 designs):

There were only 80 of these made. It has a steel pattern overlay on the front black aluminum scale and a Ted Nugent icon etched on the blade. There is another version like this except it has the black blade. I am still on the prowl for one of those. With only 80 made though, it's going to be rough finding one.

Edit - I have not acquired the other version as well!

I forgot to post one yesterday, so here it is. The 1660CFST. It is very similar to the regular 1660ST except that it has a small carbon fiber overlay on the handle.

I am still looking for this knife with the plain edge (1660CF). It has eluded me for many months.

Never seen that one! Damn nice! It would look even better with a damascus blade on it! :D

I agree on the 1660CFST. I wish Kershaw would deal more with carbon fiber.

Today's Leek is the 1660BBCKT. The blue / black smoke aluminum handles with the black blade. I love the smoked Leeks because they are all different. I have a few blue / black smoked Leeks and they are all slightly different in the smoke design.

Today's Leek is the Camo Leek 1660C. Limited to 790 pieces, it's not extremely rare, but still a bit hard to get. I'm not too big on the camo pattern because for some reason it has a bit of a purple / red tint to it but that's alright.

I have now owned two Rainbow Leeks and gave them both away to people who liked them so much.

I love this one. It is the 1660PGT. It is like the very common 1660G10 except it has polished G10 scales and the S30V blade is a bit polished as well. Overall it looks amazing. I wish this was easier to come by because I would love to have it as my EDC. If my numbers are correct, this was limited to 933 pieces.

^oooooh me like
just got the S30V with the stonewash and Peel ply G-10, I love it

Glad you're enjoying them so far.

Here is another 1660CKTST except it's quite different compared to the first one I posted. The finish is different and the serration are different. All older Leeks had this 2-step type of serration where the newer ones have a scallop type of serration.
The finish on the newer one is the now standard matte black DLC finish. I honestly don't know how to describe the finish on this older one. It's like a mix between the matte black and the shiny boron black coatings that Kershaw uses. Whatever it is, I like it quite a bit!
