Did they sell Mark IV's with sawback's originally, or did you have to special order one with a sawback. IIRC they don't come that way straight out of the factory now. Just curious because I'm a big fan of both CRK and sawback knives. Unfortunately, circumstances have forced me to sell off most of my better pieces, including my CRK's but I'm starting to get a handle on things, and hopefully will be able to pick up some more within a year. I'd love a sawback version of the Jereboam, or Shadow 1 so if you could provide me with info on this, it's very much appreciated. Thanks a lot.

The MkIV has always been a sawback (at least as far as I'm aware). The non sawback equivalent was the MkV which had a more pronounced clip point. As with all CR fixed blades there could be the odd mix 'n' match out there though!
