Every time I think I might have enough 100s, I see something like this and figure I have to keep going.

I had seen the name Klinkhamer in the past but had never seen what it referred to. I'm shocked! I had no idea...
I don't know what this will lead to, but man, THANK you for those pictures. Well done collection of two of the prettiest sets I've seen in a long time (reminds me of the first time I saw a full set of Montblanc Writers Edition fountain pens). op_eyes emoji:

Many years ago I found a 124 Elk Tip on Larry's list and had to have it. Larry said that they thinks it was customized by "Mac". Some time later Heath & Leroy had a whole set of old one liners also customized by Byron "Mac" McKinney. Mac worked at Buck in the old custom shop. I was told the Mac would repurpose knives that were sent in for Warranty replacement. These were repurposed into Elk Tip handled knives instead of the trash bin.

I knew it was a special set when I saw it, but now that I know the history I’m really impressed. Very cool indeed

I love that box with the dividers.

Eveled, you'll be happy to know that since I took the photo the empty space at the top has been filled. I put a black phenolic 117 in that space. It isn't the same age as the rest of the group, but it goes well.

Thanks David. It didn't look as handsome when I first got it. But that made it more affordable.

Some wet dry sandpaper, mineral oil and a little elbow grease, took care of the abuse.
