Lets see your beloved EDC customs, the ones with all the wearmarks of well used knife

Let's see if I can find a pic of my two custom carries...

O.K. a good pic of my Rinaldi Sharkstooth...one of the first 40 knives he's made. And one of the first knives made by Danbo! He's gonna hate seeing it here. LOL
They are both part of my edc rotation.

Somehow, I KNEW you were going to post that pic! I don't mind seeing that knife again. I just wish I had put a little better finish on the ricasso and blade before I epoxied the micarta on. Also, I wish I had done a wee bit more rounding of the corners on that micarta. ;) :) Glad you still like it, though.

Didn't mean to leave ya out Danbo, beautiful leather work on the sheath too, a matched pair for sure. :D

The knife wouldn't be the same without the sheath! It has been on my side every day since I got it!

BTW, how old is the knife? It doesn't have J.S. or M.S. on it...

That knife is pretty old. Like old enough to be from when Bailey was first getting a name. Bailey and I designed that knife together. I actually had two others, just like it with gorgeous(I mean amber stag gorgeous) stag handles, that were too pretty to even think about using. That's why I had him make me that one with maroon micarta. It turned out too pretty for me to use also, but I did carry it some. It does have a forged 52100 blade that was triple marquenched and cryo treated. If you ever wanna get rid of it, I would certainly trade you out of it.

I really like that Chipmunk, could you PM me info on where to get one.
Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike, no need to PM you - I don't have a clue how to get in touch with Allen Blade, sorry.

Since he was run out of the knife community I think he's gone "under ground" with his work. I still see new pieces of his pop up from time to time so he's got to be taking orders again. I have not seen another one of these in quite a while though and they don't surface often, when they do they're 1095, only a few were Talonite.

This is my EDC. I've always wanted a small fixed blade for my EDC so I designed this one. Haven't raised any eyebrows yet. Just shy of 7" overall length. This is also the one being considered for a passaround only that one would have maroon micarta scales.

Your review years ago is what turned me on to the Chipmonk. Little fixed blades are always handy to have around!

That makes me happy! I still use a lot of those knives I reviewed. I keep a Running Dog knife at work and that thing is SHARP! Whatever happened to them?

As far as the Chipmunk goes, it is a great knife. I love mine. I have the 1095 or 1084 version, whatever Allen was using at the time. Really cool knife and the prices he used to sell them at were ridiculous. Is he still offering those, or is he still digging out from under all those orders and problems from a while ago? The Chipmunk is a great knife, and the sheath is one of the best I've ever seen. I think Allen is a super knifemaker, but according to a lot of people he's not so good on the business side of things. I'd snatch up any Allen Blade knife I found on the aftermarket, though, personally.

You'll be first in line. ;)
