Looks like the blade was hallmarked c 1892 if you check the year lists but the stamp is blurred.

I think we have it pinned down to Gorham out of Providence RI. Some time between 1865 and 1885.

I think the table suggests 1898, but take a look at the link and you can see exactly what date letter is what, shape of the date stamp can make a difference too e.g. octagonal v square, oval etc.
