IMO Charlie is designing some of the greatest slippies of modern times. Here are the 4 I have for now with three more on the way.:D
Hope to see the entire "set" here.

Best regards

I only have the one, sent to me by Jon Slider, I carry it more often than not, I really like the slim handle and large blade ratio

Those "TC" "Tom's Choice" Barlows from GEC are special factory orders orchestrated by Charlie Campagna... aka Waynorth.... hence the "Charlow" name.

Thanks, and I also see that some of the TC blades are marked "genuine Barlow"...what version is that?

Missed out on the single spear in sawcut when they came out... I hope they get around making some more!

I think this is the Charlow blade etch progression (updated)

Dec 2012 Long Pull Spear etch is Genuine Barlow with TC Knife etched between the words, (not sure this is a 2012 knife, but the etch is the same)

2013 Long Pull Clip blade etch is Tom's Choice with TC between (No Clip blades were made in 2012)

March 2013 Long Pull Clip blade etch is Tom's Choice

April? 2013 some Long Pull Spear bladed Charlows were released with the pen blade on the pile side, colors were Gabon Ebony and sawcut RedBone. There were also a few Soupbone handled Clip and Spear single bladed models released.

June? 2013 Long Pull Sheepfoot etch is Genuine Barlow, with a picture of a Rams head between and the word Sheepfoot below, this one is Blackwood

Oct? 2013 Crescent nail nick Spey etch is Days Work with a pic of a Rooster between, this one is Blackwood

2013 Crescent nail nick Clip etch is Tom's Choice, the same as all previous Clip blades etch.

imo, the TC on the Charlow bolster stands for Tidioute Cutlery, not "Totally Cool", "Top Choice" or "Thanks Charlie", but you can think of it however makes you happy.

Some incomplete info on handle covers in the different runs, please correct my errors and omissions

The Dec 2012 run included Macassar Ebony, and Sawcut bone in Antique Amber

the March 2013 run included Gabon Ebony, Saddle Brown Sawcut bone, and Rust Red Sawcut bone, and also Sawcut SoupBone in a "natural tan" color whose correct name I do not know

june 2013 Sheepfoot run … African Blackwood, Walnut, Antique Yellow, Smooth white bone, and Sawcut blackened Soupbone iirc.

The Days work series included Blackwood, Poisonwood (Che Chen Rosewood), Sawcut SaddleBrown, and Smooth Yellow bone, I believe

There are some new spear point Charlows with Crescent nail nick coming this month, I dont know what etch or covers they will have yet. I believe the same blade will be on a new SFO from Charlie, called the Diamond Jack

This is one of two knives I wish I would have never sold. Still waiting on a wharncliffe version :)

Copperhead color sawcut also.

I don't know the color either - just a light touch of tan.
These also had a Rust Red version of sawcut.

I put in some of the colors I remember up above (without digging out the archives). This is a great thread, and I thank you all for adding to it!
To answer some of the questions above, the new run of Spear Barlows will have Jigged bone instead of Sawcut, in Chestnut brown, and Blood Red. There will be Crescent nicks instead of long pulls.
There will be some wood (to be determined), and they should be out early March. After the two Diamond Knives, which will be an HJ and a Radio!

Awful lot barlows here! ;)
Lets see, I know lets go into the way back machine to the beginning..... there once was a teardrop, it was a lonely teardrop, nobody used that pattern much anymore. It was an old pattern and it seemed that the younger generation didn't care for the old patterns much anymore. :sorrow:
Then along came a kind gentleman who had a strange idea, he thought why don't we use this old pattern and pair it up with a leather awl just like they use to do back in a simpler time, when the world wasn't in such a hurry? This kind gentleman asked around to a few knife companies but nobody thought it was a worthwhile venture, "They will never sell" they told him, "It's to big a risk" some others said. The kind gentleman didn't know what he was going to do. He had a good idea, he knew it was, but he just didn't have the wear with all to make it happen all by himself. After all he wasn't a "knife maker" he had been a builder all his life. But he loved those old patterns and he knew they would sell. So he kept at it. One day as he was telling his idea to a new knife manufacturer, Queen Cutlery, a vendor overheard his plan and decided to take a chance and make this kind gentleman's dream come true. So they teamed up and had Queen, more to the point, Bill Howard build the 1st new Harness Jack that this country had seen in many a blue moon.
It was a very BIG 1st step for this kind gentleman because he found a kindred spirit in the knife builder Mr. Howard and their passion for the old patterns and their friendship has grown to bring joy to many other kindred spirits, who now have less money. :D
This is my favorite variance of that 1st lonely teardrop built so many years ago...

Trivia and reeducation. I previously mis used the term French nail nick to indicate a Crescent pull. It turns out I got it wrong and a French nick is another term for a Long Pull.

I believe there was a change in the size of the slot on the Long Pull Charlows, that I think may have started in April 2013, with the release of the pile side pen configuration. The taller, or wider slot opening (I don't mean the length of the slot) continues with the Sheepfoot series.

Here is a March 2013 clip, an April 2013 spear with pen behind, and a June? 2013 Sheepfoot. You may be able to see that the clip blade has a narrower slot than the spear and sheepfoot.

Love the sawcut red bone, reminds me of some knives I recall seeing/wanting as a kid.

I'm in love with my diamond jack

I also have a walnut sheepsfoot charlow, but I don't have a picture saved. Seeing that I'm in Florida (from Ohio) I don't have any knives with me. Man I wish the TSA was cooler about knives. Not carrying for 5 days is really messing me up.

Edit: found a picture of my walnut. I love this knife so much, mainly because of the story behind the covers.
