Very cool looking knife.

And much better than these internet knife purveyors pawning off tortoise shell as "amber." There are several knives I did not buy specifically because they had tortoise shell scales but which I would have purchased if they had used this Kirinite instead.

In my opinion, as a handle material, it renders a custom knife virtually worthless....

Well knives with kirinite do sell, so they are not worthless. But then again, if you buy for resale it might not be a safe bet. But a safe resale bet is often a boring knife. When I saw my first group of kirinite handled knives I thought "Miami Vice" but that's showing my age
