Let's see your EDC rotation

^^I think that's a Sebenza with a custom scale.carbon fiber?

I was curious of the one under the Umnumzaan.

You're correct about it being a Sebenza. The knife under the Umnumzaan is a Microtech, I can't remember the model but I believe its out of production.

Started carrying the SwissTool (RS) in my bag recently. Don't know if it'll stay there 'cause it's heavy and that thing could already anchor a small boat.

edit: Oops, forgot the two that were in my pockets. :o

What benchmade model is this? does it come with a non-black coated blade?

Wow, I never really looked into benchmade knives before. Seeing these collections though, I see the benchmades look great! Even the tacticool-black ones don't look mall-ninjaish at all.

It's a Benchmade 690 (690BC1CF to be exact). Most of the 690s you see are the variety with carbon fiber bolsters and wood scales like this, which are also very nice. I had one of these before the carbon fiber one.

The 100% carbon fiber one was a limited edition of 1000 pieces. It's a great EDC - very light, nice ergonomics, 154CM steel, nice blue liners, and a great clip. I honestly don't remember whether they made this variety with a satin blade, but I don't remember seeing one. AFAIK, all 690s have been discontinued. Keep your eyes peeled and you might be able to score one on Fleebay. ;)

The only vendor I know of is this one: http://www.josport.se/contact.html

You will have to email them.

The steel is SS1778 carbon steel. The handle is ash. The tiny thingy is a safety screw that goes in to the opening hole on the top of the sheath flap and is screwed on the stick tang of the blade.

I have more knives than this, but these all see a lot of pocket time.... heck sometimes I carry a combo to work, when I get home I'll pick a new knife or combo if I feel like something different, then after my shower I might swap that combo for the SE delica IWB of my PJ's :D

I'm a loony, but without doing that they would never see any pocket time :D

here go'es

(Sorry for the quality.)
[Left to right, top to bottom]
- Kershaw Chive because it fits right in this little pocket in my pants and is surprisingly effective
- Benchmade Benchmite for occasions requiring dress pants
- Spyderco Cricket for light package-opening duty
- Benchmade 940SBK for casual hikes into nature
- Kershaw Leek composite because of its thinness but usefulness
- Spyderco Delica 4 (ZDP-189) when I need to cut through hard plastic, cardboard, etc..
- Benchmade mini Griptilian (tanto serrated) mainly for rope/ties
