I'm intrigued. What kind of knife is that?
I carry pretty much any folder I want to, but these are what I generally choose from when I go to the NYC office:

One of my many prized possessions.

Hey what are the two between the two spydercos at the top?
For me while length is a consideration, it does not define what is or is not a gentleman's knife. AFAIK, there is no universally accepted definition. My own is a knife which would not look out of place as an accessory when wearing a suit and tie. Simple, classy, nice materials, etc. This usually rules out big tactical folders, stag handled hunters, and mall ninja knives. But beyond that, the field is pretty open.

"But beyond that, the field is pretty open."
Several of these to me don't meet the definition of "Gentleman's Folder" as far as size.
A knife that measures 8" inches open is a "Gentleman's Folder"??
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Chuck Gedraitis Damacus Slip Joint
For me, that is a perfect example of "Gentleman's folder".
You can have all the mother of Pearl, fancy filigree designs all over it, that does not make it a "Gentleman's folder" for me.
I respectfully agree to disagree with as long as it involves then

Personally speaking, I see less than a dozen photos of (what for me I consider) "Gentleman's folder's" in this entire thread.
For me, this is a great example of "Gentleman's folder":

with a differing opinion than yourself, fortunately this is not Iran or China,"to come into this thread"
Young Man, no need to exhibit defensive or bullying attitude, as I've clearly not made a "judgement".
I've repeatably stated "for me" and "personally speaking".
While you have every right to disagree with me, you and no one else can tell anyone to basically enjoy the pictures or take a walk.
I never cease to be amazed how if you don't agree with the party line, the defensive bullying starts.
You don't like that I'm the only person with a differing opinion than yourself, fortunately this is not Iran or China,
we allow for differences of opinions and individual thought.
It's natural to have different opinions. This thread is a shining example of that. Three times you have spoken up, basically saying, you people are wrong and have no idea what a gentleman's folder is. Three times. In 7 pages no one else has said a word. You may say it with words you can hide behind like in my opinion, to me, or I feel as though, but you are still saying what you are saying. This thread isn't about that, it's about pictures. I find it interesting that the person who has taken this attitude in this thread is really quick to turn and call me a bully. It is to laugh. It seems we have a difference of opinion.
Edit: You also used the words "correct me if I'm wrong". I'm correcting you.
Fortunately I never wrote those words in any previous post."you people are wrong and have no idea what a gentleman's folder is."
If three times is too much for you, that's not my issue it's yours."Three times you have spoken up"
Except you the Alpha Male."In 7 pages no one else has said a word."
