Yea, I had the scales made so that they are rounded at the edges and flush with the liners. Solo anodized the liners blue as well.

Who is solo? Just curious in case I want to do something similar down the road. I'm really liking these clear grips. Over in the spyderco section someone did something similar to a pm2. It looks sharp.

So, these are what I consider my "gentlemanly" folders. Unfortunately, I had to take these with a crappy cellphone camera. Oh well, you get the point. Ha, point!!

For me, that is a perfect example of "Gentleman's folder".
You can have all the mother of Pearl, fancy filigree designs all over it, that does not make it a "Gentleman's folder" for me.

For me while length is a consideration, it does not define what is or is not a gentleman's knife. AFAIK, there is no universally accepted definition. My own is a knife which would not look out of place as an accessory when wearing a suit and tie. Simple, classy, nice materials, etc. This usually rules out big tactical folders, stag handled hunters, and mall ninja knives. But beyond that, the field is pretty open.

I respectfully agree to disagree with as long as it involves
"Simple, classy, nice materials, etc"
then
"But beyond that, the field is pretty open."

Personally speaking, I see less than a dozen photos of (what for me I consider) "Gentleman's folder's" in this entire thread.
For me, this is a great example of "Gentleman's folder":

Several of these to me don't meet the definition of "Gentleman's Folder" as far as size.
A knife that measures 8" inches open is a "Gentleman's Folder"??
Correct me if I'm wrong.

You know, you're the only person to come into this thread and make judgements on what some consider a gentleman's folder. There is no standard definition so give it a rest already. You and I may consider a gentleman's folder something different than the next guy. Just enjoy the pictures of the knives or post more pictures of knives.

Young Man, no need to exhibit defensive or bullying attitude, as I've clearly not made a "judgement".
I've repeatably stated "for me" and "personally speaking".

While you have every right to disagree with me, you and no one else can tell anyone to basically enjoy the pictures or take a walk.
I never cease to be amazed how if you don't agree with the party line, the defensive bullying starts.
You don't like that I'm the only person
"to come into this thread"
with a differing opinion than yourself, fortunately this is not Iran or China,
we allow for differences of opinions and individual thought.

It's natural to have different opinions. This thread is a shining example of that. Three times you have spoken up, basically saying, you people are wrong and have no idea what a gentleman's folder is. Three times. In 7 pages no one else has said a word. You may say it with words you can hide behind like in my opinion, to me, or I feel as though, but you are still saying what you are saying. This thread isn't about that, it's about pictures. I find it interesting that the person who has taken this attitude in this thread is really quick to turn and call me a bully. It is to laugh. It seems we have a difference of opinion.

Edit: You also used the words "correct me if I'm wrong". I'm correcting you.

"you people are wrong and have no idea what a gentleman's folder is."
Fortunately I never wrote those words in any previous post.
It's usually out of ones own insecurity that one judges and interprets other peoples thought's that differ from their own.
"Three times you have spoken up"
If three times is too much for you, that's not my issue it's yours.
"In 7 pages no one else has said a word."
Except you the Alpha Male.

Here's what is for me is a great looking Gentleman's folder please enjoy the photo young Man.
Let me repeat three times:
Here's what is for me
Here's what is for me
Here's what is for me:
