Let's see your Grip's

I've noticed that Wilkins grips have had a recent surge in popularity. Is there a reason for this? Or am I just imagining this?

They are really nice, I just can't justify spending that much on scales for mine. That money could but a whole new good folder.

That's how I always felt.

For me, a guy who's bought maybe 5-6 minigrips over the years, the minigrip only makes sense if it's affordable. When you start adding wilkinsgrips, or the ritter S30V or M4 blade, you've approached onto territory that the grip just doesn't make sense in anymore...you could be getting a para 2, or a manix 2, or the entry level ZTs, or even just nicer benchmades...

I think the legend of the griptilian is that it was a very all around well designed knife with no real weaknesses and it brought the axis lock to the masses.

That said, these new scales look epic. I especially love the tuxedo model, of course the LSCF model and the blade-swapped gold-class model....I was really tempted to get the gold-class and swap in a ritter blade...

I thought the same thing for a long time, until I bought a set of Cuscadi grips, it does make a difference in the feel of the knife. I think the factory scales make the knife feel cheap. I also purchased a STR lowrider clip and really like it. STR is a great guy to do business with.
I think Cuscadi quoted me about a 2-3 week turnaround time, but it took much less time.
The Dobson grips look great.
