Here are some grips I made for my Bk-09. I made them from a cutting board. They are still a work in progress as I recieved a Dremmel for Christmas... YAY!

This is the same material made for a different knife.

What color of micata do you have?

I've always wanted some amboyna burl slabs.

I have a big piece of micarta that is a little more red than the becker micarta, ya some amboyna burl would look awesome

I have some nice wood and micarta sitting around.....also some liners.......I'm in the same boat as you.

Those are the factory Micarta Grips

On the Crewman is custom Micarta

On the Campanion are Bill Siegle made G-10 grips

Hey, Doc, I think that Crewman would make some good homage to the Mods, why don't just send that lovely thing on over here. HONOR THE MODS!!!

Has anyone here worked with Elk antler ? I have a single drop and I'm thinking about slicing it up. Is it stable or does it need an epoxy to reduce fragility ? Can it stand up to the stresses of being a batoned knifes grip ?

I got a pair of factory micarta grips and they look different, I know each pair has a little change in the patern but the color also is darker.

The crewman scales are also sweet....

Here's my BK2 I posted a while back. It has cocobolo, gray spacer material, and black paper micarta with stainless pins and lanyard tube.

Next on my list is to sharpen a BK9 "blank" from Camillus and put handles on it. I figure that it must be heat treated already because it's ground and coated, just not sharpened. There's no way the coating could stand up to a heat treat, so it must be hardened already.

Here's my contribution. Home made Micarta from a pair of Carhart dungarees.

The machete on top (bolo) has 1/4 brass pins, The bottom one I did for a good friend and has a mess of copper pins.

Bill, them's some durn nice Beckers you've got there.
I know for a fact you like to get out and test knives.
I also know that you're a good judge of a chopper/heavy duty knife.
When we going to get some dedicated action reports on those Beckers in this forum? (Or did I miss 'em?)

(Aside: You'll like this one. The edge on my BK-1 Brute is a Bill Siegle edge. It's Sieglelicious.)
