Let's see your impractical knives

By "impractical" I mean the knives that you personally might not have any practical use for. This isn't to say anything negative about the knife designs themselves. They may be very effective for what they were designed for, but YOU bought the knife for the very best reasons possible: because you can, because you wanted to and because it's awesome. Mine is my CRKT Hisshou. Sure it can be useful for home defense, but I'd likely reach for the gun if I thought I was in danger:

This would be mine I guess. It really doesn't have any sort of advantage to other knives when it comes to utility use and I would pretty much automatically end up in the crime register, were I ever to be caught carrying it in public. :)

It's a long-discontinued Case grafter's knife, with a folding spey blade and a fixed tool for making grafts. Nothing I'll ever use, but I've never seen or heard of one like it, and just had to get it when I saw it in an antique store.

No pics yet, but I just ordered a Rajah II from Cold Steel yesterday.

I don't know why, but after a year of watching videos with the knife in use I just had to see what the fuss was for myself.

No such thing as an impractical knife, that is knife blasphemy.. I didn't say there wasn't poor quality junky knives just no impractical. If it has an sharp edge and a point its practical to a point (no pun intended)

probably my Gerber Prodigy. I bought it b/c its a gerber with decent quality and sandvik steel (12c27, at the time, think it moved to 420HC now). I guess it'd be a good survival blade, but honestly, when I go hiking/backpacking, I just grab my Izula, and pair it with a saw or axe for heavy-duty camping when weight's not an issue.

Ya, just did the same here buddy. But I'm starting to accept that I'm a big blade junkie. At least I use mine in the bush,.....dunno about the Rajah though. Sometimes it just is what it is I suppose. :)

Some knives with mysterious steel I bought 6 years ago. I found them impractical because I can't depend on them as my newer knives do :)

Here's my only one at the moment. It won't even stay sharp because the blade loses its edge the moment you put it in the sheath.

I guess mine would be my Al Mar Alaskan Bowie. The edge is ground so thin and the tip is so fine, would be hard to imagine doing any heavy work with it.
