• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Let's see your Kit Sheaths.

Busse Heavy Heart in a Spec-Ops sheath with a bit of kit. I've added some PJB in a slim ziplock bag since these pics:

Here's a home made one. The kit varies wildly depending on what I'm doing and what mood I'm in, this is what was in it when I pulled it our tonight. Sometimes it has a tiny pair of binoculars, a SAK and a blister kit!

The vaseline tin is mainly stuffed with PJB.

This is one of the rigs Rob made up for a Busse ASH-1.

Okay, the Trangia Stove doesn't fit inside but everything else does. :)

I'm still looking for the picture of the sheath with everything stuffed inside.
EDIT: Here is Rob's post with pictures of the thigh rig pre-stuffing. ;)

Hi all this is what I carry every day rain or shine I made the knives and the sheath and put a pouch to carry a match safe that has a ferro rod cotton, couple of needles, fishing string and hooks and have fishing line wrapped around the out side of it to. The match safe has a buit in whistle and has a compass and a little mirror on the inside of the cap. I have apouch for a diamond sharpener. This knives are a 6"long, 5/32" thick blade with 4.5" handle. The smaller of the two knives has a 4" long 3/32" thick blade with a
4" handle. Here are the pics.

I made up another knife that I carry now that has the Hamilton handle, this is what I carry now.

Rock6,

I have exactly the same gear in a Fehrman Last Chance sheath I got from Rob a while back (that's an Outrider there isn't it?) I don't have cordage wrapped around my sheath though. I'll have to give that a closer look.

:)

Yeah, it's an Outrider and my Fehrman Last Chance fits the same sheath as well:thumbup: Don't wrap too much cord as it will get in the way. I've since removed most of it, but still have some wrapped around it.

Bryan- quick question for you- WHy the orange on the EZLap sharpener? Is it just for visibility, to give it extra thickness, or for some orange duct tape??

I think it's safe to say that I really like this idea:

cuts like a kris It is so I can see it better if dropped or set down. But It also helps the sharpener stay in the pouch better to.

 CURSE you people and your brains!! I LOVE the ideas you folks come up with but it drives me nuts because I can't come up ideas like these.

I really like the look of Robert's dual knife setup. This forum is gonna be the death of me yet, LOL ;)

Good thread. Are there any other similar options to the Spec Ops sheath? I wouldn't mind building something like this around my 4 5/8" JK Kephart.
