not sure if there is already a thread like this. i did a search and couldnt find one. if there is one mods please merge.

this thread is for everyone to show off the beautiful patinas on your traditionals! for me theres nothing better than a natural patina on a nice carbon blade! so lets see some pics!

been carrying this peanut for about six months now. the patina is coming in very nicely.

There are a lot more of knives with a knife in my drawers... Would be too much to show here. Just a little show-off... ;)

Kind regards

Don't have any more recent pics. But had an interesting patina experience with my SBJ. It's looked just about the same as in the following pic for months now. Cutting fruit almost daily and not really getting any darker or more pronounced. Then I lopped the top 'stem' off of a banana, through the peel, and set it down for less than a minute and it got some REALLY dark spots in that short time frame. Not sure if there is some acid in the peel or something that made it act so fast, but it was faster than even lemon patina from what I've seen....

Proudest of this patina, mainly because I got to watch it go from a new shiny blade to something I enjoy using.

The report states that this particular patina didn't come willingly. :grumpy:
